Default Oil pressure readings used for anything?

I want to use an aftermarket oil pressure gauge when my new motor gets here, and was thinking of removing the stock oil pressure sender and replacing it with an adapter/AutoMeter sender to feed an AutoMeter electrical oil pressure gauge.

My question is this; will the PCM freak out by seeing an oil pressure reading of zero? I haven't seen anything to indicate it would, but you never know. Anything else I may be overlooking?

Thanks...

I believe it only drives the dash guage.

That's what I was thinking too (and hoping)... Thanks Chris!
