tune make tranny slip?
tune make tranny slip? i had a tune done on my truck 2 times now, this last time everything was pretty good. With about 4-6k on the tune a few nights ago my Truck started slipping in every gear.When it shifted it would Slip and thenRev about 200-300 rpms and then catch gear and lose alotta Rpm.
Put the Stock PCM back in and put some miles on it and it seemed to Relearn it self. Acts fine and stock now.
Anyone have any feedback on this?

Things that mess up the "load" calculation, like MAF table
in particular, will make the trans run less line pressure.
There is also an adaptation (learning) function.
Clean the MAF lately? K&N oil will slowly drift it lean /
low load in its output frequency.

Back when my pcm was stock I had the trans slip bladly out of nowhere. I disconnected the battery, reset the pcm and it fixed the problem. Never found the cause of the problem but it has not reoccoured since.

Also i see you have a vette servo, any other internal tranny work? 3.73s big wheels and tires, and a heavy truck all lead to alot of wear and tear on the tranny.Since you just got it (re)tuned, I might assume you were beating on it to feel the new tune out.More than 3-4 back to back passes in my A-4 z28 would get the tranny nice and mushy.Quality rebuild took care of that.
Truck wasnt tuned by me, it was a sponser over on the truck section.
Wasnt hard on it, just driving regular. MAF looked good last time i checked it which was a few weeks ago. What you recommend cleaning it with?
Elec. Parts cleaner? Vette Servo isnt installed yet. Sittin in the passenger seat.
