Ed Wright Custom Tunning Dyno Results I had my computer sent in for custom programming....
The car is 98 6 Speed w/ TEA stage 2 heads, Hammer Cam, TTS headers w/cats....Stock MAF
No ls6 intake, no pulleys.....
Before- HPP3 Tunning & GMS MAF

The car idles and runs much better, but I basic gained no power

Re: Ed Wright Custom Tunning Dyno Results i don't know how you could expect a tuner to tune your PCM without being next to the car on a dyno with a wideband O2 sensor recording the air/fuel ratio.
every car is different and what worked on one car will not always work on another car, even if the mods are identical.

Re: Ed Wright Custom Tunning Dyno Results First off, I'm sure that he expected his car to be tuned correctly because he was told they could do it.
Second, I am dealing with a similar problem on back to back runs with my EW tuned pcm and a stock pcm, I only pick up .1 in et and 2mph. 450 seems like a lot for 20hp.

Re: Ed Wright Custom Tunning Dyno Results My car was tuned w/out Ed Wright being there.. You dyno and send him the dyno results and he tune it. My A/F ratio was dead on 13 to 1 on the first try..
Re: Ed Wright Custom Tunning Dyno Results I have a few autotap runs that I will send in for a retune and I hope that everything will get resolved. I'm not dissing Ed or his company, and I am sure with the extra info the car will get to where I want it.

Ran 12.800 before{last year}have 56 runs this year,similar conditions and 60ft,am down .20 at 1/8 and at the end,best run was 13.001?????
Have a little more MPH one or two but really lost as to why I have slowed down,rev limiter was bumped up 1000 rpm and still run slower.
Tried 4 or 5 diff shift points,doesn't change E.T.
Tried modifying launch,no better.
Program is only change done????
Am bringing stock PCM to track tomorrow,will do a couple of runs and if no better will swap in original,if my times return to normal I will be even more confused!!!!!!

Verdad Gallardo Re: Ed Wright Custom Tunning Dyno Results Could be driving or something else has changed. Weight of vehicle or driver. Different tires, etc.. A change in combo maybe..i.e., TB, MAF, etc.. My car only got quicker.. When I first took my car to the track with Ed Wright tuning I had a hard time getting 13.1, but eventually got it down to 12.28 at 116mph with the below mods.. I had to try so many different shift points. I now have a shift light.. No way to be consistent w/out a shift light..

Have Shift light,have over 2000 runs done by me in this car since 95,that is what irks me.
Was hitting rev limiter on dyno last year and HP was still increasing 352@5750 RWHP.
Had ED reprogram,gave all the info neaded.
So figure with program would gain not lose HP.

So problem was not programing,that question answered swapped back and said I was the problem so drive harder.
12.9s and 108+ mph.
Ran record times and mphs on a day that guys with no changes to their cars from last year were running 2-3/10ths slower.
Was just being too nice to the car I guess,will try AutoTap if I get the chance though.
So on day with GOOD air humidity and traction should get down into the 60-70s.

Re: Ed Wright Custom Tunning Dyno Results Sorry Vince but with your profile saying your from a place where 6'7" people come from, HTH you fit into your car? did you find seat rail extentions? if so where can I get some <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> because at 6'5" I just fit.
