unlock EW Tuning?

unlock EW Tuning? Has anyone been able to unlock Ed Wrights tuning?
I think I can get more out of the car with dyno tuning but I have Ed's tuning and it's locked. I guess I could always flash a new PCM and start from scratch but I thought it would be to much of a waste. TIA,

Re: unlock EW Tuning? From what I understand the only way to get rid of ED's Tuning is to have the dealer re-flash your computer back to stock for about $75.00 or so. I am in the same boat as you, I think I can get more out of my car on the dyno using LS1 Edit. I will find out in a few weeks.
Maybe ED can erase his tuning for free???? But then you need to send him your computer, ship it wait, ship it back, etc. Easier to visit the dealer.

Re: unlock EW Tuning? If there is a way to lock it there is a way to unlock it. Simple face is there aren't enought people trying to unlock pcm's (yet) in order to motivate someone to crack the so called lock.
Just have the dealer re-flash it. Ed has a vested interest in his programming that is why it is locked. Unlocked it is the same as MS handing over windows source code.

Re: unlock EW Tuning? I tried having the dealer reflash my pcm with EW tuning and they couldn't.
Had to use a spare pcm for my Thunder Racing Custom tuning. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

I read a thread the other day that Vince posted saying that there was a dealership close to Thunder racing that reflashed his PCM and he had Ed's tuning. I was also thinking of gettinga new PCM for Valvegod and having it flashed with stock numbers and take that PCM to Thunder for dyno tuning. Just seems like a waste of money when the PCM Ed did is still good but could be better .
