EFILive?
planned to add flashing ability to its
package. Nothing about that on its Web
page, though, and not much recent chatter
on the 'boards. Anybody know is it's true
about the flashing (true plan, or true
done), and whether this sftwr/hdwr is now
ready for American models ('02, please)?
Gary is correct, the latest version will allow on-the-fly modifications to a number of powertrain parameters including (but not limited to):
- Spark advance
- Desired Air Fuel Ratio
- Gear selection
- TCC lockup
- Injector balancing
- Idle speed
- IAC position
- Open/closed loop mode
- Fuel learn mode
- Reset fuel learn
The early versions of EFILiveV5 did have a comms problem with the C5. The C5 obd-ii setup is different to the Australian Commodore obd-ii setup. The comms issue has been fixed and we are now finalising the finer details.
Currently EFILiveV5 is undergoing the final stages of beta testing. The finished product is scheduled for release on July 1, 2002.
An special introductory price for existing ATAP (AT1 and AT123) users will be available until September 30, 2002.
The latest beta software will be available publicly for download on the www.starrperformance.com.au web site in the next few weeks - if anyone is interested.
I will post a note here to let you know when it is available.
Regards
Paul

The reason for not much chatter about it is because back in March or so it actually did not work correctly with American LS1, just the Holden. Apparently there were a few bugs with it.
