Need Hypertech Help Asap Ok, I forgot to deprogram before I brought the TA to get serviced. The computer that reads the chip in the key or whatever was shot so the car wouldn't start. So they repaired that (for $400!!). Anyway I guess the reprogramed the computer also, and now it's misreading for the 3.73 gears again, so I try to reprogram and says calibration not recognized. I call hypertech and they give me the crap that, you need a receipt, or place of purchase which I don't have cause I'm not the orignally purchaser, which they should service their product anyway.
So now I need to either flash the computer back to factory settings where I can program. Or just get the power programmer back to stock settings so I can sell it, and take my car to chevy to have them program the computer for a 3.73 gear for 64 bucks and just sell the hypertech. Can anybody help me out here?

Re: Need Hypertech Help Asap my battery died halfway thru programming...it was a disaster. ill save u some time by telling u that i sent out my computer and had it flashed back to stock for 90 bucks. the company that did it was Fuel Injection Specialities. the day they got it, they reflashed it and sent it back all in one day. i had it back in my hands in 4 business days. the guys name was vince, and he was a great guy to deal with. im not sure how much the dealer costs to reflash, but this was better for me instead of towing the car. im not sure if this helps any, but i figyred what the heck. and hypertech gave me the same bull since i wasn't the original purchaser, so ill never do business with them ever again...im gonna get ls1 edit. im probably out all that money from the stupid thing. i would just have the dealer progrm it for you and save yourself some hassle unless u know someone with ls1 edit. my .02 later

Re: Need Hypertech Help Asap The programming for the HPP3 is toast. The only ones who can fix that are Hypertech. GM, AFAIK, can't program for 3.73 gears. You will have to get a programmer of some sort for the gears,(there's stuff besides HPP3, just can't remember where) LS1 Edit, or send pcm out to one of the programmers to fix you up for the gears.
It sucks that you have to have a bill of sale for HPP3,hmmmm I'm not sure if I even have mine anymore.

Re: Need Hypertech Help Asap get a letter from the dealer stating that they reflashed your pcm and lost any information that was previously on it. tell hpp that you dont have your receipt anymore.

Re: Need Hypertech Help Asap Thanks for the tips guys, Yeh I gave em that bs that it was almost 3 years old, I lost the reciept and can't remember where i bought, because I had bought tons of mods for the car in the past, but they basically said tough, they won't service the product. Their own damn product. I called GM and they said they could program me for a 3.73 gear for 64 bucks. But that still leaves the programing in the Hypertech, and I don't want to completely
waste the 200 I spent on it. I would at least like to sell it once this gets over with.. Any other advice?
