Default MAFT????

MAFT tuning ???????
I've been toying with Getting my car tuned with my new TR ported MAF ends and MAFT and this is where I am. I have the MAFT base setting at 10% rich and the WOT setting at 6% rich. LTtrimsB1 and B2 fuel trim cells 0 - 17 never get above 3.1% at cruising speeds with the exception of acceleration. There is no pinging at WOT and my 02's hover around .88 - .90. There is a slight bit of knock retard but it never goes over 2 degrees and is not constant throughtout the RPM's so I think it may be false knock. Today it wasn't very HOT so I don't know how it will respond in extreme heat. My questions are as follows:

1. Do those LTtrims at cruising speeds look good? Like I stated above they don't get any higher than 3.1% but seldom go negative while cruising.

2. Is there an acceptable amount of KR or should it be 0 degrees at all times?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.... I'd like to get my tune straightened out ASAP. I feel like I'm beating the **** out of my car doing WOT runs trying to get this right.

Looks good, If you want to totally eliminate the KR try the next richer WOT. If it still has some KR then go back to where you were and stick with that..it then may be false..

U need to concentrate on the BASE setting !

I would not even use the WOT unless U are on a dyno with some wideband capabilities !

I tuned my car with the MAF-T on the dyno and then A-TAPPED to check readings against my dyno charts !

U also need to make A adjustment at a time on the BASE and put 50 or more miles on the car for the PCM to learn that adjustment THEN A-TAP it !

Well on my 99 my BASE setting is set at 15% rich and WOT is set at 2% rich !

I also have Fast Toys ported Maf ends !

The numbers in the sig are with these settings !

Thanks for your help guys. Do you guys think I should start from scratch or just put some miles on it at BASE 15% rich and WOT 6% rich and ATAP it again? I think the 01 - 02 cars came a little lean from the factory. At times I got pinging with just the MAF screen removed but not very often. I would like to join you guys at the DYNO day at Mike Dez racing on the 15th. But I have a graduation party to go to that afternoon . Hopefully I will be making it to the track Saturday for Camaro heaven day.

Personally I would just turn WOT back to zero and leave BASE AT THE 15% setting then drive it for 50 or more miles then A-TAP and see what's going on !

Cool that's actually what I'm thinking. I'll move the WOT switch tonight and ATAP it again in a couple of days. I will avoid WOT runs until the next ATAP session. I'm running ATAP on a P166 with 16MB of RAM. I seem to get a lot of errors with the Windows version. Anyone prefer the DOS version.

I would recommend 15% rich base,0% WOT to start off.The MA ends are killing you.The 01+02 cars do not like the MA ends.
You should shoot for around -5%-0% cruise and 0% WOT on the L-terms.You should see the 02's around .90-.93 at WOT with this setting. Then you can lean out the WOT till you end up with a .89-.90 consistantly and 0 KR.
Do you have HPP3 tuning installed? If so get rid of the power programming.
