Default What should I buy to tune my car?

I have some $$ saved and I basically need to change gear ratios, firm the tranny shifts, change the A/F ratio( I can tell I'm running rich), change the idle, and fan temp.
Would a HPP and MAFT work?
Or should I get the ATAP and LS1 edit?
I do have an Auto-Xray but I am just learning how to use it.

Also, how hard is it to learn how to use the ls1 edit? It looks rough.

Having been confronted with the same question myself... I started out with the Hypertech Programmer.... did not see a lot of improvement and then got Atap, which revealed to me what was going on, and used a MAFT to sort some things out when changing the MAF and TB. Finally ended up getting LS-1 Edit.....
To save you money and hopefully you learn from my experience, I would recommend you get Atap and LS-1 Edit... and forget Hypertech and a MAFT...
Others may have a different opinion... and you will have to decide how to proceed, but the LS-1 Edit will let you tune in radical cams.... and the Atap will show you what is happening when making your changes to the PCM..
Good luck and have fun.....
