After removing the power tuning the knock went away, seems like when I make a change it goes away for a day or so. Maybe it's the car learning the changes that have been made.

I logged a few runs today, and the knock was ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 it's not like it just pop's up at 4500 then goes away it just stays from 3500 all the way to red line

My o2's where around .9 at WOT

I did two WOT last night and had .3 just for a sec after flooring, I did a WOT coming to work and no kr showed. It should get to 90 or so today and I will do a WOT in the heat after work.

How much timing does the htpp3 add? 3 degrees? I plan on running with out the power tuning for a few days then put my 85mm back on and see if the knock comes back.

Things are looking good for you dissonance. If knock comes back after putting the 85mm maf back on, it seems that tells a lot.

I was looking at those Ford SVO 30# injectors. They seem to have the same spray pattern (conical)--just flow more fuel. I'm sure this has been discussed a long time ago. It's just coming to light for me.

Hey John, I assume you were asking me. On top of the electronics is number 3596784, and on a sticker, at the base of the electronics, is number 000046. I have the conversion harness, too.

dissonance,
you may know this already, but just to make sure.
what type of gas are you using?
when i had KR a few months ago, i used GULF gas exclusively because it was cheap.
i figured it was 93 octane so it must be good.
WRONG!!!
i filled up with SUNOCO ULTRA 94 octane and my KR was gone. i did that for two weeks straight and KR never appeared.
then i tried MOBILE super 93 octane and i still didn't get KR.
so i recommend exxon, mobile and sunoco.

also, ditch that HPP3 power tuning program until you straighten out your KR issues.

good luck.

I have been using marathon 93, I don’t think it’s the reformulated gas. I was reading on a site a few weeks ago that the reformulated gas was not used anymore.

I don’t know what the deal it but there are no Exxon, Mobile, or Sunoco around here. There use to be a Thornton’s with 94 ultra but it’s (well come to think of it I don’t know what it is now) but they took out the 94 pumps.

The 85mm maf is a Delphi, theirs a few numbers on it. 1st is number is under the Delphi logo #25168491. 2nd is a serial number #0349618. One thing that does not look normal (there is a resister that has been soldered in between the two lowest bars; you can so see a little flux. There is heat shrink rap around the resister, so I can’t see the color strips. I would no think if it was made that way there with the sign of flux. It might also be something to do with the calibration.

What's the part number of the MAF KIT that you purchased? If it's just a vanilla ZO6 MAF, then it is not calibrated for LS1 use.

2)Okay, you have an SLP 85mm LS6 MAF then. I would contact them and ask them about maybe being to lean??

John, I know I'm butting-in on dissonance's thread here, but do I have the right Pace maf? The numbers on it are up a couple messages before this one. I haven't been able to get your maf to work with my car.

Ok negative on the Marathon, how about shell (they only have 92 right now)? We have a few of the new BP/Amoco. Shoot a few my may and I will try to find them.

I took the breather back off tonight and look in the intake manifold, looks like I am still pulling oil in. I pulled the tubs off my smh mod and oil started dripping out the vacuum tite, it was filled with oil also.

I really don’t want to dish out the cash ($90) on a catch can (Greddy) has any one had luck with the air compressor filter?

Hey John, you won't comment on your own product, only SLP's?

It seems to take care of my PCV oil problem. I don't think that the air filter is flowing enough for the PCV system to do its work properly though.
Soooo, I will be switching to an aircraft air/oil centripetal separator (I love e-bay) with a serial drain connection to drain the oil back to the engine <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> .

Hmmm... I have not read the article yet but ls1info has the main information on their site.

http://www.ls1info.com/article.php?sid=265

Maybe GM might be really facing the problem with the detonation trouble with these engines?

This would have to be recall to get it fixed out of warranty/ in warranty? i'm sure i would have to show a PO332 to get anything done
