Default Car idles high in gear?? seems to be after cam install

well my car seems to idle sorta high in gear now. Im not sure if it came from the cam install or not. But my idle in gear rpms are set at 875 so should i bump them down? Its the same as my park idle setting, but as soon as i put the car in gear it jumps up to like 1000-1100 or so. Car wants to pull ahead with my foot off the gas.

i have the vig3600 also, but i know it wasnt this bad till after cam went in.

should i just bump my idle rpms down some on edit? or is there something else?

What is your IAC count in gear?

does this happen when hot or just when the car is cold?

Have you done the pcm relearn procedures since you did the cam and Edit changes?

Mine will do that coming to stop lights until I come to dead stop. After that it is fine.

You can try playing with the TB set screw a bit as long as your IAC does not go wild. How many volts do you see on the TPS at idle?

Its worse when the car isnt warmed up, but still does it when its warm. Maybe the car is learning all of the programing and changes. Its just weird that as soon as i put her back in park the idle drops down to normal and the cams lope just sounds awesome <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

ok i checked today, but the car was acting fine and didnt seem to rev up when i had it in gear.. but here is the info

at 196-199 degrees

IAC in gear was 43-44 average
IAC in park was 47-49 average

this is weird was they were in the 29-30 range, but i think they were still dropping off and on

timing in park was 18.5 average
timing in gear was 27.5-28.5 average

my Ltrims at idle and revving up were around 17-21 so i take it im rich as hell?

Positive LTrims mean you are lean and the computer is adding fuel. If they are like this driving around, you should bring those down to zero or negative. Use the MAF rate table; you'll need to increase the flow rates.

When cold the car runs richer so it is not surprising that the rpms climb a bit when you first start up.
