I was programming my 02ss with a hpp3 it would keep starting over after it got 100% done & wouldnt program.It went to verify tuning & kept starting over then it said stock program failure & said contact hypertech.It wouldnt let me do anything else & the car wont start.WTF <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

 

sounds like your screwed probley need to get the computer flashed

 

I've been seenin' these more & more, your gonna have to get it towed to a dealer and get your pcm reflashed. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> Did you lock hhp3 to your pcm?

 

What do you mean did I lock hpp3.I wonder if hypertech can flash it I am only about 45 minutes from them I think I will go kick their asses this is BS.

 

you might as well plan on kickin there *** because i think they will give you the runaround plan on going to the dealer

 

Its hard to get warranty work done with no cats & all the other **** done wonder what it costs to get the computer reflashed.

 

Call Hypertech, tell them you bought the programmer new, and they will fix your PCM and programmer. Since you're so close you may just drive it over there, or ship them both to them, but they fix this kind of thing all the time. It happens.

Whatever you do, do NOT tell them if you bought a used HPP (I don't know if you did or not). You bought it new. Got it? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Just got back from hypertech.I got a new programmer & they reflashed my pcm.I got home car still doesnt start this pisses me off I lose a day of work to get this done and they say it would work and it doesnt but i do have a new programmer in the box.I guess I will have to call them back in the morning and hope I dont have to get a new pcm looks like I will get edit & screw hypertech.

 

I just got my truck back from the dealer with the same type of problem that you have. Mine was a Superchips programer which locked up my PCM. The only way to fix it is to go to the dealer and get a new PCM installed. If your careful about what you say it shouldnt matter whether your cats are gone or not. They would have to prove that your cats caused your PCM to lock up to refuse you warranty work and because they cand read the PCM they cant prove it.

 

I guess i will see what hypertech says tomorrow & go from there.

 

I called hypertech today they said it was probably the security system on the car not sending a pulse signal to the injectors it makes sense.I get home they tell me a way to reset it still wont start.I am pissed <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> so i call they back help me out somemore still no go and to my suprise they are going to overnight me a new pcm to see if thats the problem.I can only say this I was shocked but they are going out of there way to help.

 

Their blaming the PASS-KEY system? Yourpass-key module reads a resistor pellet in key thru ignition lock cylinder,and when every thing is accepted by pass-key module it sends a freqency modulated signal to pcm then pcm allows engine to run.B.t.w. the pass-key module & keys are set to each other not pcm proramed dealer only . If you had a pass-key failure YOU WILL GET A PCM CODE . + a security light goin' nuts. Tell them stupid f@#$* to cut the <img border="0" alt="[bullshit]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bs.gif" /> and fork over the cash for a new pcm + progaming (what ya probably are gonna need). Some dealers do have the software to flash pcm's alone w/o the vehicle search around you may find one close. GOOD LUCK!!

 

Well my car runs again.Hypertech (Shawn White) is a man of his word.I called yesterday to let him know that the car still wouldnt run.He told me to wail a minute & he came back and told me he was sending me a new pcm nextday.Well it came in today & boom car fired right up the only problem is I am showing a P1336 crankshaft position system not learned but the car runs fine.I now have a new programmer in the box and will be getting edit.So if anyone ever has a problem with hypertech Shawn is the man. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
