Default Tuning larger injectors

I need to upgrade my fuel injectors soon, and am using LS1 edit.

Any advice on how I can update my tune to accomidate the change?

I assume the work will be done in the Injector Flow Rate Chart.

I'm changing out the stock (28#? from 2002 TA) to 38# injector.

Thanks

Make sure you know what bar (psi) the new injectors are rated at. Look in the stickies at the top of this forum and download the injectors.xls file. Enter the data into the excel file and then copy and paste the results into the edit IFR table.

I have the spreadsheet and values, but I'm still a little confused.

The spreadsheet lists MAP (kPA) ranging from 0 thru 80,
but in LS1-Edit, the Fuel Injector Flow Rate table lists 100 thry 20.

So I can reverse the chart easy enough :-)
...but what about the 0 - 20 and 80 -100 values?

Do I need to modify the 'Stock Value' header range in the chart headings,
and re-scale it from 0 - 80 to 20 - 100?

Then simply slap the Final Table Vales into the LS1-edit fields? ..and thats all that needs to be updated, to accout for a fuel injector change?

Thanks!

An easier way to do it,if you have a scanner is to times the injector table by 140%.Then log the L-terms.Adjust the injector scale till you get an average around -4 to +2 L-terms.This won't take long. I've found the scales listed are pretty close but may not be perfect for every setup.

I think EDIT uses straight MAP, while HPTuners is kPa vacuum
(MAP-BARO), that being the pressure drop across the injector
along with fuel pressure. So if you are using Edit, 100=0 and
20=80 column, make sense?
