Ls1 Edit Idle Problems.. How to fix stalling/no start with big cam

Re: Ls1 Edit Idle Problems.. How to fix stalling/no start with big cam
My STFT and LTFT are maxed out at +25% at idle in park or in gear. Since it is so lean I wonder if I should reduce the IAC.
Any suggestions?

That coupled with a fresh air tube still attached to your valve cover will max out your Ltrims at idle like you're talking about.

Re: Ls1 Edit Idle Problems.. How to fix stalling/no start with big cam
My LTFT and STFT is at +25% in fuel trim cells 16 through 19. Fuel trim cell 16 is park with A/C on, 17 is park with A/C off, 18 is in gear with A/c on and 19 is in gear with A/C off.
I have searched for air leaks in the intake and exhaust. I have double checked all connections to the intake manifold. Everything looks good.
Any suggestions?

It would have to be a vacuum leak or other fresh air source getting in past the MAF unmetered.

Idle issue- comp cam, no egr, no cats, ls2 heads etc.
I just bought a 00 Camaro SS auto that will not stay running whether its cold or hot. It has a Air/Fuel Ratio Indicator that reads rich all the time even at a steady cruise. I have to give it gas all the time even when it shifts to high gear and I'm slowing down.
It has plenty of work done to the car, some of which (top end work) by Vengeance Racing. I'm sure it ran fine after the new parts were installed when the work was first done. No check engine light comes on except for check gauges after its been running for a while. Not sure what thats coming from, but it has two aftermarket gauges, tranny temp and air/fuel.
Could someone help me find out where to start and how to adjust the idle and possibly the idle air control IAC like they had mentioned in the thread?
Thanks.

You may have multiple things going on. Without more information (like a log file), it will be difficult to diagnose. Assuming you have tuning software, you can check that product's forum and search for idle tuning (IAC, RAF, etc.) and find lots of helpful infomation like this one.
If you're completely new to tuning, you may want to look at some general overivews. There are a quite a few listed here and here.
If it is running rich, that could be one of your problems, but you would want to confirm that. Do you have tuning software that you can post a log and tune file?

Yes I'm completely new to tuning and sorry to say I have no software. I'm not sure what will be less expensive, to purchase tuning software or have someone tune/reprogram the PCM? I smell fuel all the time though so I'm almost positive its running rich, although there is no black smoke coming from the exhaust even at WOT.
I also have a question about LS2 cylinder heads. I'm sure there are different casting numbers, but do all LS2 heads have the same size chamber, intake, and exhaust ports? Is this comparable to the LS1 heads? I'm asking to figure out compression ratio for grade of fuel. Thanks for your help and the links!
