Really

With our credit system you can tune up to 4 LS1 vehicles for just $499 if you chose the single vehicle license route..

and if you chose to do the single vehicle license route for an LS2, you can tune 2 vehicles.

We still offer the lowest prices still and the most bang for the buck.

Ok, so I have 1.7 now and I want to upgrade and be able to tune an 05 gto. What will I have to pay? The 149$ upgrade and then 4 credits? Or does the upgrade for existing users come with some credits?

BilliumSS, You're missing a few key points here...

You don't have to upgrade to the USB interface if you don't want to.. it's your choice..

If you do purchase the USB unit you have so many more options though.. as both an existing customer who upgrades and a new customer.

Nobody else has an interface like ours that supports GM, Ford and Dodge..

Also, at 5 year/model licenses, the price difference is $300.. but you add a few more licenses and it gets CHEAPER with the usb pricing method..

People who will actually use year/model licenses will have more than just 5.. think about it.

Most people who have 5 currently have 5 because that was their only choice.. Now we give them the option of a single vehicle license for only 2 credits!!!!

Thats 4 ls1 vehicles of ANY year/model combination!!!! Most of the people who currently have 5 year/model licenses could have used a single vehicle license in place and SAVED money.. before they didn't have that option, now they do.

It all makes sense when you realise that we've added a very affordable single vehicle license type to our system. It's hard to sink in as we have been selling only vehicle type's (year/model) licenses for so long.. but now with both options, it will be much easier to save even more money with the new usb license.

No longer will you be forced to lock year/model licenses for those obscure models or a car that you'll never see again..

Magnus, what I meant is that with 8 GM credit limit the resale value isn't there anymore. Not unless you pay $50/car

correct $149 for the STD interface upgrade + 4 credits for 1 vin locked license...and with your upgrade you get v2.1 free

Not true at all. In fact, your resale value has just gone up!!!

You buy an interface with 8 credits.. lets say you didn't even use any.. You can sell that interface to ANYBODY and those credits are still up for grabs..

Lets say you only used 2 to program your vehicle.. well those 6 are still out there.. ready to be used..

The great thing about our serial interfaces was the year/models were open.. however, you had to sell your inteface to someone who had that specific year/model vehicle.. That could be a pain sometimes.. or you could find an interface locally but it didn't support the year/model you wanted.. you'd still have to purchase the license AND the interface to support your vehicle.

The new credit system doesn't have that problem.. So not only do you have more flexability with how you license your tunes.. you also have even more resale value.

...But with the old price structure, for example, you could tune 1000+ 1999 LS1 F-Body cars, 1000+ 2000 LS1 F-Body cars, 1000+ 2001 LS1 F-Body cars, 1000+ 2002 LS1 F-Body cars for the great low price of: $897

You use to, we'll have to see what EFI Live does with their price structure.

HP Tuners, Please re-do your new price structure and make it similar to the old version

As newer versions of products come out, usually the price goes down, not up. I do like the credit system, especially for the odd ball cars and for people that don't know what cars they want when they place an order.

You have such a great product, don't jepordize it with a bad pricing structure to add more unlimited cars/trucks.

so if i'm reading this right, i can buy the std package for $499, and get 8 credits. does that mean i could just get a single vehicle liscense for an '01 f-body (2 credits), and the 1 bar speed (1 credit), and teh 2 and 3 bar speed density (4 cerdits) and still have a credit left over?

will all that still cost $449 (+s&h, etc.)

The price is only higher if you want to do just a couple of year/model vehicles..

Most people do not fall into that catagory.

The price is CHEAPER for everything else.. functionality has increased.. resale value has increased... vehicle support base has increased..

We have added so much to the hardware..

All we are doing here is giving away a LOT more and yet still retaining the initial $499 and $649 price points.

Last time i checked EFI live doesn't offer year/model licenses or LS2/LS7 support. We offer the ability to tune 4 single LS1 vehicles in our base package for $200 less than EFIlive, more than twice the competitive offer. I'm perplexed how you translate that into less value

No. It will be $499 and you will have 1 extra credit left on your account for a future purchase, at least I think that is what you were saying
