If you feel that another tuner package will be less expensive for your application, go for it. Just stop shitting the bed for the rest of us. Theyve already met us more than half way by releasing the crdit system to begin with, so take a midol and quit your bitching!
I'm not the only one that feels that way, and that should tell everyone something about how this company treats there customers. Ask a question to any company I've ever worked for and you'll get an answer. Asking a question, or make a statement, and get called childish names? BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, I don't expect them to give there equipment away, but I know several people that have been screwed, and the attitude they recieve, is "too bad so sad" or "don't bother us" most companies at least look at the situation and say, "we'll work with you on this". I'm suprised the word isn't out more. I stood by HP tuners, and defended them, do a little searching, when they had people banging at the doors for 2.0, I stood by and held the doors up. When the "latest and greatest" came out, I saw it as a bit of a betrayal. So I posed a question and was called a crackhead from one of the owners. I understand one of the HPtuner nuthuggers to say something along those lines. But it has just stuck in my head. So I began to see the light. They didn't meet you on the credit's they came .75 short. 4 quarters is a dollar, not .75, the credit system is automated, where do the .25 credit magically disappear to? None the less, it is their product, they can and will charge as they wish.

Remind me again, of what it cost for either one to upgrade to 1bar/2bar/3bar? Remind me of how many custom operating systems HP has provided for us to tune with? There are just somethings that outway others. Service is one of them.

for a new user you could tune 2 cars with a 1 bar speed density tune and still have 2 credits left over...or one car with a 2/3 bar speed density tune & have 2 credits left over for $649 whereas efilive you'd have to spend $849 to tune 2 cars with 1 bar. If its a service thing keep it at that but your going to loose the numbers game in most cases.

Just to clarify 850 for 2 cars with 1/2 or 3 bar at no aditional cost. What about going forward with the 3rd,4th and 5th 1bar,2 bar or 3 bar car?

you could tune 4 vin locked cars all with 1 bar SD enhanced OS for ~$840 with hptuners pro version or 2 vin locked cars both with 2/3 bar SD enhanced OS for ~$840 with hptuners pro version. So it depends on how many you'd be doing i guess, I still have yet to need to buy a 2 bar license. Also for 1/2/3 bar purchases they get credited towards the purchase of unlimited SD enhancements.

So what I'm asking is if I want the same setup with unlimted 1/2/3 bar, and EIO for the four cars what would that cost, with the new system?

$649 with 8 credits with additional credits being $49.99/ea
1 vin locked car=2 credits
1 custom 1 bar OS=1 credit
1 custom 2 bar OS=4 credits

if your not just upgrading & buy anew those are the prices.

if you'd like me to come up with an exact figure i'd need to know the year/make/model of cars you want licenses for as well as which one will be getting 1 bar SD custom os's and which ones would get 2/3 bar.

Just to receive unlimited 1/2/3 bar I believe their site says 50 credits which is around 1250$.

I'll help with the question as I don't think you have been answered.

EIO - $649
WIth this you have 8 credits. For you to tune unlimited 1/2/3bar and the four vehicles, I think that is 58 credits. So take the 8 off that you already have and that leaves you still needing 50 to receive the unlimited 1/2/3bar.

$649 + $1250 = ~1900$

That gives you 4 vehicles of your choices (minus LS2/LS7) and unlimited 1/2/3 bar

I got the information straight from the order page. So is the order page incorrect or is the pricing for 1/2/3 bar going to change?

I think your math is wrong

10 credits for 1 bar unlimited 40 credits for 2/3 bar unlimited
50 credits x $50 = $2500
$650 +2500 = $3200

8 credits to use for whatever..so you could offset that with those 8 credits(making it $2800)

So it's 1050.00(850+2 pcm license) v/s 3200.00(649+50(2500.00) credits for unlimited 1/2/3 bar, I hear rumors about 2 step OS's, maybe custom interfaces? How much will those cost?

you could also just get the standard interface vs the EIO...
and save $150...
but with 2/3 bar you really need a wideband....so you really need the EIO

Guys... this is an announcement for HPTs new pricing structure, not a comparison of different product pricing options etc....

While the discussion has been civil, let's not sidetrack the thread....

IMHO, the only reason to not spring for EIO is if it isn't available. You WILL want it sooner or later, and it's more trouble and money to upgrade later than to buy it up front.
