Agreed, this thread was awesome, and really opened my eyes to what EFILive has to offer. It is one of the contributing factors as to my purchase of EFILive about 10 minutes ago!

Well,I got my setup yesterday and loaded it in.I'm surprised how easy it was to get started.I was reading my truck within 5 minutes. It took 2 minutes to read compared to 30 minutes with Edit. Now I just got to get use to the tables/locations ect.

We can't sticky threads like this because then we'd have to have similar stickies for everyone else, and the problem would be worse in other forums where we would have 20 cam stickies. Not going to happen. As it stands we will be reducing the number of stickies over the next few months when we start using the Tech Article Forum that we are working on.

I think the thread should stay as well. I didnt realise that Efilive was as good as it is until I started reading this. I will probably be purchasing this very soon. I need to put my other cable up for sale soon. You cant beat the real time tuning.

Most of the times they wind up getting deleted or locked and all that good information is lost in cyber world somewhere....

Wow, there's a bunch of good info in this thread. I had never really looked into EFILive b/c of other tuning software on the market, but it seems like it really has a lot to offer. However, I really don't think I have enough info to start tuning on my own, and well, I'd rather put the money toward a few more big power mods before I get into doing my own stuff (on top of the fact that I don't have a month to spend doing nothing but messing with the car b/c I know that's exactly what I'll do as soon as I get the software). I'm glad I read through all of this though to see how many people have started doing their own tunes and sing praises of this software.

Artic - There are many helpful tutorials included in with the EFILive software. If you down load the demo software, you can see the tutorials under Help -> Tutorials -> take your pick.

And with the software in demo mode, you can still open and play with the the sample tunes.

And you can look at loged files also, mess around with the maps in the scaning software.

Is the new HPTuner version (usb friendly connection) better than EFILIVE?

Please don't ask this question again. That will get this thread locked and that is what we don't want on this. Not trying to be harsh, but that question is addressed in the sticky at the top.

Congatulations, you will love it. Use the search feature to find tables. You will get used to the the layout pretty fast, but there are always tables you haven't used that can be found fast with the search.
