EFILive does not take pre-orders.
We will not take your money until we are ready to ship product.

When the first production run is started it will be for 1500 units over the first 3 months (500 units per month). That will be more than enough to supply the first round of upgrades and new purchases. Nobody will miss out, so there is no need to pre-order.

THanks for all the replies guys. I didn't mean to stir up a **** storm with my question. I just didn't know if pre-orders were being taken or not. I had read about the intiial 50 testers being released first, then the production runs would occur.

As long as I can get some time to tune the car prior to the HOTrod power tour (June 3-10) I'll be happy. So realisitcally, the beginning of May would be perfect.

Good sound business practice and that's the way it should be. I'm amazed how many aftermarket performance company's don't follow this rule when introducing new products.

I just called wait4me, damn, you have to admit, that's impressive. I have no need to buy the software now if you have a programmer mail order. I mean, currently, my mods are pretty basic so I need a relatively simple tune. So looks like I'm going that route and they offer free updates. So even if I change stuff, I can put my factory pcm back in and send back the other computer. Hands down the best way to go.

They just updated the news on Version 2 cable.
It will be completed very soon from the looks of it.

Also, They announced last night the that LL8 vehicles will be supported on the version 1.2 cable too!!! So that must mean that any time now we can tune our inline vehicles. Without even having to wait for the v2 cable!!! These guys are Smokin on vehicle support!
I wonder what will be next???

Will EFILive work with a 98 Grand Prix? I did a quick search on some of the GP sites and it looks like most of those guys are different tuning software.

I have a LS1 in an older corvette. I don't know the VIN of the donor vehicle, is this a problem? OR will the PCM know it?

1 bar = vacuum till atmosphere (if you don't use boost, you're 1 bar)
'

2 bar = 2 atmospheres... ~14.5 or so lbs of boost

3 bar = 3 atmospheres... ~29 or so lbs of boost

has to do w/the MAP sensor measuring pressure... an NA (naturally aspirated) car will be 0kpa when there is no cylinder filling (complete vacuum) and 100kpa (in reality around 103kpa I beleive for 1 atmosphere...) when you are at WOT (no vacuum... complete cylinder filling)

when you compress the air entering into the cylinder ... you go beyond an atmosphere.... you enter boost..... 2x atmosphere is 2bar max... 3x atmosphere is 3 bar... etc.....

fudge! They can't do the 98's ls1 as far as computer replacement. That's a bummer. Looks like I will need a tune again. I'm trying to see if it's just a higher price, like $300-$325 range, it may still be cheaper going that route.
