SES back on???
I just had my car in the shop last week. Had both knock sensors, and wiring harness replaced. Also, had the GM TSB performed to prevent reoccurance. Now, a week later, my car starts to feel like it wants to stall out at the red light, as I accelerate from a dead stop. The damn SES light came back on again last night. Anyone have any clue, what the hell could be going on with my car?

Re: SES back on???
do you have atap?? if so read the ses and see what it says. It should tell you your probs.
On my 98 when i slowed down at lights the car seemed like it wanted to die and stall out. Rpms dropped really low. I had a bad EGR and when they replced that it fixed the prob.
could also be a vaccum leak. Its tons of smalls things that can cause stalling issues.
make sure the intake is on there good. If they didnt pout lock tit on the intake bolts they will loosen up causing a leak leading to bad idle and stalling problems

Re: SES back on???
Mysteriously, last night the SES light shut itself back off. But, it still acts like it wants to stall. Now that you mention it, it sounds like something wasn't hooked back up correctly, or something. It never acted like this before, even when the sensors were bad. I guess I should take it back up there and have them look at it again. Unfortunately, I don't have ATAP. I wish I did though.

Re: SES back on???
its more than likely the case.. i could be wrong though. But definitly something wasnt probably hooked up right when they put the intake back on. Its a little small vaccum hose that connects to the back of the intake they coulda left off. That will cause stalling issues..
just look things over yourself.. i had a vaccum leak that would go away and then come back outta no where. I tok the intake off and out it back on and for some reason that seemed to stop <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
but if you have a inch pounds tq wrench check your intake bolts and see if they tq to 88inch pounds..
everytime i drove mine out they would loosen up if i didnt have lock tit on them
