new to LS1Edit......could use some help...
Now I'm ready to start tuning for my MAF and injectors. I have an aftermarket MAF and a set of 36 lb injectors.
with the MAF....the tables have:
750 Hz = 0.39
800 Hz = 0.41
850 Hz = 0.44
etc....
with the injector flow rate...the tables have:
@ 0 Kpa = 3.62
@ 5 Kpa = 3.64
@ 10 Kpa = 3.66
etc....
I assume that these settings are what the factory stuff "should" have flowed. Now that I have higher flow parts, I increase the number correct? How do I know how much is enough or too much? Do I just take a guess (not an EXTREAM change) and go see what I get on AutoTap?
Thanks
Chris
I think I am getting there. I pushed the fuel pressure back up from 34 lbs (again...how I tuned before LS1Edit..) to the factory 58 lbs.
The 01 injectors were 28 lb and I have SVO 36 lb (act like 42 lb at LS1 fuel pressure). Thats 50% larger than the factory so I bumped the injector flow rate up by multiplying all the numbers by 150%. I then went for a test run, and was getting O2 numbers around 0.840 to 0.880 at WOT.
I'm thinking that with those O2 numbers, 150% was a little to much. Should I reprogram it with a say 145% and try that or are those O2 numbers good?
Thank
Chris
If your MAF is not LS1 calibrated you will have hard time finding out what's going on when you try to tune for injectors at the same time.
I'd put the stock MAF back and get the injectors in line first. Then get the new MAF scaled if it's necessary.
WOT 02 numbers don't tell much. They are relative to your previous logs at best. First look into LTRIMs per fuel cell. Then do some KR experimenting or wideband dyno for WOT.
<strong>Did you take a look at the ls1_edit faq method for injector scaling ?</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">where are these?
the button on top of this tuning section here at ls1tech.com will take there too. Look under faq.
