I last updated a few years ago. I know my software is v2.05 (DOS), but I don't know what my cable is.

What do I need to upgrade to the latest, greatest windows version?

 

If your current hardware is working without problems I would not be so quick to upgrade. Those with version 1 of the hardware are somewhat better off than the version 2 guys if all you want to do is use the autotap software. As for the software... I have both DOS (2.10) and Windows (latest) but I used the DOS version all nite tuning a C5 ATI setup tonite. It didn't disconnect once... unlike the crappy windows version which out of the blue will drop its connection when you need it most.

If you want to just upgrade the software you can go to www.autotap.com and download it. The latest dos version can be found at ftp.autotap.com.

I agree with Tim. I like the older version because it's simpler. The newer version is taking some getting used to.

 

I need to know the same thing.I have the old V1 DOS version,can i down load the new windows version V2 and use my old V1 cable ??

 

I would imagine I have version 1 as I bought it back in 98 when I bought the car. I did the one upgrade not too long after which netted me the V2.05 as well as ATVIEW. But that's the last thing I updated from their site.
