Default How important are cam spec's when tuning?

Doesn't seem to factor into the equation much? Am I missing something? Or is there some way to use your cam spec's when tuning?

personally i dont see where they come into play much. I mean bascially you just need to atap or put the car on wideband and see how it works with the cam and what needs to be tuned. Heck you might have a freak that doesnt need any tuning. Some of my friends have put big cams in there stock heads cars and didnt even need to raise the idle or anything. Life is like a box of Chocolates, you never know how the car will react

just my 2 cents anyway
