58 degress of timing advance???
58 degress of timing advance??? I have a 5.3 l truck and i'm getting 58 degress of timing advance at 5500 rpms and i was wondering if that is to much this is the stock tune and i'm getting no knock retard so would it be ok to add more timing as long as there in no knock or am i not going to see any gains.

Re: 58 degress of timing advance??? I think maximum possible timing for almost any engine is around 45. I doubt it would run with 58 advance.

Re: 58 degress of timing advance??? Well, he hasn't answered back so we're just guessing but it's been my experience that %99 of the time the info was not taken at WOT whenever excessive timing advance is reported.
