Default LS1 idle quality

I did a search on my topic and was surprised to find that this topic was not discussed yet.

I am on my second LS1. Both seemed to run lean for me. Both were and are for the most part stock. Both had an inconsistant (it would occurr at irregular moments)miss at idle. I am almost positive that this is due to the programming running too lean in closed loop, since the car idles fine when in open loop. As soon as the car reaches operating temp, the miss at idle begins.

Any ideas on how I can use "edit" to solve my issue?

Thanks

I have autotap and LS1 edit and would like to correct for this. Anyobdy have any ideas or do I need to post more info. I am sure quite a few people have experienced the LS1 jiggle.

Oftentimes a change of plugs fixes the problem. TR-55s work well.

Raising the idle a bit helps too.

I already did both.

I think I used Delco R42TS, and raised the idle to 775
RPM.

Oh come on now. All these technical people on here and nobody knows how to tune the idle with "edit"?

if you have ls1edit there are some things you can do so that misses will not be detected as often.

also, MAF: if you descreen a maf, you need to scale the entire table.

C5AJ,

Can you post all of your modifications in detail and also A-tap logs (or e-mail them)?

Tim

Tim!

How are you. I was going to call you the other day from work to say hi and see how your new business was going. I am now in the Melbourne area. Where have you and Richie been and what is new?

I will get a list of my minimal mods, and some logs for you. The idle has always had a miss even when stock just like my 99TA.
