Diablo Tuning with Tr224 Im basically broke so I cant afford to get a laptop with Autotap and LS1 edit software.I was wondering how well would I be able tune my Trans Am with my TR224 cam.Last time I dynoed it made 361hp and 358 lb/ft tq at the wheels. This was with 23-24 degs timing and no knock retard.Is there enough room in the Predator to compensate?

+10% spark will put you to 24.4. However,
I don't know what its behavior would be
if you already had a custom tune. Diablo
disclaimers say it wants to start from a
stock tune. Maybe you would get a bonus
and have your spark running 24 +/-10%. But
I think they'd have to tell you about that.
Same thing probably with the power enrichment.
These I think you can mess with, just dithering
about the existing tune, without loading their
"Install Performance". If you did this on top
of a non-stock tune you might get some funny
double-whammy kind of stuff going on.
That said, Diablo also (from what I have read)
do customized tunes based on your setup, some
have been getting this help for free, I dunno
what it takes to get it but you should probably
go right to the source.

Re: Diablo Tuning with Tr224 Ive got a HPPIII right now, but I just used it for uping the rev limit.Their engine tune always slowed the car down.All reading were taken off of a GM Tech 2 scanner. I always thought the timing was low.
