HPPT3 or Predator ????

Re: HPPT3 or Predator ????
To answer what I know in the last 3 posts:
-yes, you can hook it up and watch real time data. However, it is hard to watch, so you are going to need a rider - be safe! Also, I would not substitute anything for a wide band and tuning on a dyno! No other means of monitoring A/F ratio is accurate enough! Take your Predator to the dyno and pay for several pulls - if you see on the wideband that the WOT A/F needs adjusted, you will be able to do it (to an extent) with the Predator.
-Predator can CLEAR codes that are set - however, it won't delete the reason the codes are set (i.e. removing the EGR), so they will come back in. As far as I know you will need Edit to do that because you are deleting a function of the PCM, not the code.
-You can not control idle settings with Predator.
-You can control WOT A/F ratios +/- 5% (approximately 1.5 points) from the base Ptredator tune. That means if you have done major mods to your car, you may need to get a new base tune.
Talk to the people at Predator about these things - they were very helpful to me.
Maybe the Diablosport informant on here can provide more info - after he answers the questions in the PM I sent him! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
