The only way I know is to go to a dealer and have it done with a Tech 2 device there. I am not sure if
any aftermarket programer devices have this function.
In my case I bought a second PCM, had it re-programmed after ta cam install. It was not
set-up for this and the code came on. My stock PCM was fine but not optimized for the cam etc. I send the unit back and the programmer took out the funciton.

EFI live claims to have this :

"Tooth error learn mode - Puts the PCM into a mode where it can learn the crank tooth error correction"

Is this the same thing ?

 

Should any of the dealerships be able to do this and should they know exactly how to do a crankshaft position sensor relearn?

Some of the mechanics around here dont seem to know as much as they should...

 

Ive got EFILive (with bi-directional controls) and it lets you do it at the click of your mouse. Shell out the 350 smacks and get it, you wont be sorry.

 

This relearn procedure is very simple and takes about two minutes to do with a Tech 2. I am a technician at a GM dealership and have done many. Our dealership would probably charge 1 hour labor to do this. Any dealership technician should have the knowledge to do this it would seem. Good luck!
