Help. DTC P0117
Help. DTC P0117 I hope you guys can help. I can't start the 2002 ls1 motor in my 1994 mazda rx-7. I scanned it with hptuners and i'm code - P0117 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
Is this preventing my engine from firing? I have checked all my wiring and they all seem fine.

I'd check that there isn't something more wrong with it. Check
the +5V PCM outputs at the connector and the signal on the
ECT high side, open I think it should pull up to 5V and attached
be in the couple of volts range. You may have a power problem
that's just messing with the sensor.

Ok. I found out what it was. It wasn't plugged in. I was supposed to have a water temp gauge installed in a double gauge pillar, but I didn't have the right connectors. He probably unplugged it before he realized that I didn't have everything I needed to install, and forgot to plug it back in. I'm glad I didn't have to go through all this crap to see what it was. What a pain in the *** though.
