hey, what do you think about predator logging??
hey, what do you think about predator logging?? Has anyone e-mailed diablosport yet? What if we all put in requests and try and get them to add logging in the next release. Not only do we HAVE to have logging to see what our sensors are actually showing, but it's dangerous to try and read the predator while flooring the car. Do you think we should start like a signup form of how many people want this feature? Even better, show the people who don't have a predator, but would like to get one with this feature. Someone told me recently that if you have a complaint, don't just complain, but tell the person about the complaint, and how to resolve it. That is a very good piece of advice. So what do you guys think? Later.

I would definitely be willing to write a letter or email to diablosport concerning adding logging to the predator. Of course I think it would be best to first organize a nice group of people that feel the same way!

Please post everywhere you guys know, and put a post on here saying that you would like to see this feature added. And for those of you (And I know there are a lot) of you who didn't buy the predator because it doesn't have logging, please post here, and I can provide a loink to everyone at diablosport and show them why it is worth their while dollar-wise to add this feature.

I get my Predator this monday and I cant wait to see how it effects my 03 sierras performance! Getting rid of my 100mph top speed limiter and playing with the tranny shifts is my main interest!
What do you suggest doing FIRST with my trucks tune? Should I just load in a basic preprogrammed diablo tune or try and custom design a tune?
I plan to go to the track with the diablo and when I do THEN I will really play with the tuning!

Re: hey, what do you think about predator logging?? I love Jimmyblue’s idea. I would definitely buy a predator if it were able to stream ASCII-formatted data out its DB9 connector. I would be able to log data with my Macintosh PowerBook. This capability would make the Predator a compelling alternative to LS1Edit and Autotap for many of us. I wouldn’t hold my breath, however. Upgrading the Predator’s software doesn’t appear to be a very high priority for Diablo.

make the Predator stream data out the DB9
connector to a PC, and this has been kicked
forward to the Predator development people.
I doubt the Predator has the internal capacity
to log much, but it could certainly perform the
vehicle interface tasks (like a "smart cable").
But what we really need is more people saying
"I'd buy one if"; all of us current owners don't
represent much incremental sales... although I'd
pony up $ for an upgrade w/ some sort of crude
serial-to-text-file logging software etc. No
video gauges necessary; just the facts, Ma'am.

Word of mouth is what sells these products and the word is we need to record. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> Great thread guys
