Need Predator tuning tips!!!
with KR, I guess you'll see whether or not.
It would be interesting if you could do a pass
or two with the stock and the Predator "canned"
tunes, just to see what the quantitative
improvement is.
Beyond that, I'd say to knock down your fan temps
so that you see the full benefit of the 160 'stat,
jack the spark up to +10%, and see how much KR you
get (if you can manage to see whilst accelerating
without adding some paint to the guardrails).
I'm still messing with the PE, I've put it all
the way to +5% and am waiting for it to get done
learning its new LTFTs. I think with the ported
MAF you might just want to slam PE to +5% and
see what happens (add this to the stock and
canned tune times, and we'd have a pretty good
independent picture of things).
What I'm still unclear on is, whether the PE
effects are all there right after tune install
or whether there's any subsequent learning drift;
it seems my car takes a while to "bed in" after
significant PE changes, at least at the mid-
and low-throttle end. I'm trying to see if I
can get to my "lucky 13" theory. Yesterday with
full +5% PE on the highway I was seeing 930mV
WOT O2s, which is maybe-right, maybe-rich. I
think I need a G-meter and some more on-ramp
time.
