Default Delete Rear O2

By deleting the rear O2 from the PCM, does that mean always open loop?

If this is done due too ORY, will it still pass an emission's station like in St.louis where the plug the PCM only on 96 and later, and don't sniff the exhaust?

if the codes are deleted it should pass emissions. mine passes fine here in MD with no sniffer.

rear O2s = emissions only
Front O2s = required for closed loop operation

If you clear the codes and you don't have enough drive cycles on the car before the inspection, the PCM won't be in the "Ready" state and the inspection can't be performed (from my experience in NY anyway). You also run the risk of tripping another emissions code before the inspection. I have a car that I dumped big $ into I can't get it inspected in NY because I'm running an aftermarket stand-alone ECU (they changed the law 2 years after the install). I hate dealing with this crap. Good luck to ya!

I'm curious as to the language here. Is there a way to actually delete/disable the rear O2's or are we just talking about deleting the codes. I have no rear O2's and have deleted the codes so as to not trip the SES light. Should I disable/delete the actual sensor in the computer somewhere also? If so, how is this accomplished with HPTuners?

to delete/remove the code, it's a matter of disabling it via tuning software (such as HP Tuners)

It's under Engine DTCs, set the codes that refer to Bank 1 and 2 sensor 2 to "No error reported"

you have 2 methods..

#1 Any code referencing sensor 2 wack
#2 Any time you get a code and it's sensor 2 related... wack it and drive again till you get the next... repeat process until no more codes
