throwing AIR system bank code?

throwing AIR system bank code?

I get this code every couple of days after my car starts making a whining noise when I first crank my car sometimes while the air system in running..What does this mean?

P1415 (Bank 1) or P1416 (Bank 2)? Mine was a clogged air check valve.

how do you fix it..What does it hurt, if anything?

Mine was P1416, replaced the passenger side valve. Easy to replace, GM PN is 12565503. Won't hurt to drive it until you get a chance to swap it out.

Cool, I think mine is bank 1? it threw the code again today P1415.. where is this located? thanks for info by the way..how much did that run you in parts?

It's the black valve between the metal air pipe coming off the header, then connects to the air hose with a clamp near the #5 cyl coil. About $15 at a local parts store.

Yeah my ses light whent off for a drivers side air system, I just ordered a replacement valve last week, hope it works.

See post #6 for location. Unclamp the hose side, pull the hose off, then use two wrenches to unscrew it from the air pipe (one to hold the pipe steady, one to unscrew it), or you can remove the metal air pipe from the header and do it on a bench. The part number is the same for either side.
