Default None of this makes sense please help!

So when i bought my camaro it came with an SLP MAF sensor on it, but since i went with the BIG cam route, i pulled it off for tuning, and put the stock MAF from my 02 T/A on it. Then i put the SLP MAF on my T/A jsut to add a bolt on thinking it MAY or may not help but it couldnt hurt. This was done in NOVEMBER. Since then no problems with either car related to the engines running quality etc. Well just last month the Trans Am threw an SES light while driving down to my friends shop. Just popped on while on the highway- got to the shop told him about it, the scanner wasnt there nor was the tuner. So i turn my car back on when leaving, no SES light (the light still operated however like when you turn the car on). So i blew it off, the next week i did some dyno runs everything worked out fine 359 rwhp 376 rwtq.
OK FAST FOREWARD

Just last week the car threw 2 codes, P0171 and P0174. Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1 and Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 2. So I came to find those would be related to the MAF sensor... or so i thought. So i drove on it tried a few things, nothing changed however after the car sat and i messed with the wires a little, the SES light went off. Car ran fine. The next day light came back on! Decided to put the stock MAF BACK on the car....Code stayed on. I disconnected the battery to see what would happen nothing. Turned the car back on unplugged the maf and plugged it back in. The light then turned off.

My oil pressure was down to a 39 as i was a little over due so i changed yesterday and flushed out any old fluid. Well yesterday i was driving threw a slight road construuction area, road was beat up etc but no workers or anything. Hit one big bump/drop that my car didnt seem to like. i traveled for about 2 1/2-3 miles got caught on a hill at a red light. Suddenly my car begins to surge. Idle drops down to 3-400 rpms oil pressure dropped from about 45 back to 35-39 chugging etc no SES light though. Gave it some gas, didnt know what the hell was going on. Drove around on it as it fixed itself right away. Well then @ another stop the car dies approx 10-15 min later. Now I am worried. as i was coming home my ses light comes on (2 1/2 hours later!) I cut back to autozone to get the codes checked. P0171 and P0174 remained! but now I have a P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
None of this makes sense! Now my car is completely acting up, it wants to stall at nearly every stop. On occation it idles perfectly fine @ 700 RPMs but others it drops under 600 and surges it's not shifting properly it starts dying out around 50 mph, only sometimes but frequently. Its revving like it has a 2500-3000 stall in it. Shifts hard and unexpected.

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IN THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!

sounds to me like either bad O2 sensors or there is a problem with your MAF connector.Check the wires at the connector to make sure they are seated in the connector correctly.

sounds more like a mechanical problem then a tuning issue to me...misfire code would make me think its a plug/wire situation...trim codes could be many things from the maf to many other things.

Well the car is basically on a stock tune, only differences have been code removal and torque managemnet removal.

Has the car had a complete tune up? Plugs/wires/fuel filter/injector cleaner? I would first give it a good tuneup and then troubleshoot from there, this will eliminate the simple stuff and make it more predictable. You need to check those 02's out with the scanner too to see if they are working properly.

Are you running a KN ait filter as well cause the oil from them is pretty good at ******* up MAF's? You may need to clean the MAF wires with some spray electrical cleaner and check all connections.

complete tuneup all except the fuel filter. I have had a K&N since i bought the car w/ 14000 on it. now has 31000 and i'm positive its not overoiled, if anything it needs more. It doesnt make any sense to me, started w/ the Stocker, then went to SLP now back to stock thinking it would fix it...

SLP MAFs are ******* junk. Don't put it back on. We will not tune a car if it has one on there. Try changing your O2s and plugs. I know you said they only have 5000 miles on them, but for $16, change them again. Make sure no wires are burnt or are to close to any part of the exhaust. Clear all the codes and then let us know what happens.

this still is retarded, the p0171 and p0174 are MAF related typically. the code is continuously on and off! what the hell is going on! whats the best way to check the plugs and wires?

I get the same **** with my car...except it hasn't died. Around 1500-2000 rpm it bogs down and just runs like ****....i've tried everything.....o2's, plugs, wires, tps, fuel filter, im putting a stock maf back on tomorrow.......i'll let you know how it works out for me. This is a big prob and it only seems to be getting worse. Alot of other people have this issue too but no deffinite fix. Someone was mentioning a limp mode issue but i have to do some more research on that. Do you have a a4 or man?

I'm betting its the MAF. Even stockers can be a little tempermental, so I can just imagine the SLP version being even worse. Get a scanner on it though so you can see what's up.

According to my guy Javier MoparNOS the car seems to be fine, @ first it was missing with my friends 00 MAF plugged in, threw a P0102 code, none others then the p0300. Unplugged it and the P0300 code went away. Put the stocker on... no codes but it is missing. O2 voltage is good, cars a little on the lean side. W/o the stock one the fuel trims are all messed up. The problem is not as apparent now seems to only miss down low, if at all its pretty random. I think i am just oging to replace the plugs and wires, and retighten the O2's to be sure they are in there snug.

Hopefully Javi can chime in w specifics

update....

The MAF seems to have corrected itself. Plugged the car in this morning only threw P0102 and P0300 The P0102 started cuz i had it unplugged before. Well i went to a tuner, plugged it in no more MAF code... jkust P0300...misfire everywhere except a couple cylinders. Bought new plugs TR55 and GMPP wires. pulled out the stockers i had 2 smashed up plugs one w/ no gap, the other @ .010-.020 the rest were normal just looked like crap. Put everything new on car hasnt missed yet...going to drive it alot 2morrow after my court hearing so we shall see.
