Cool Diablo tune for tires

I looked at my problem again slowing et's when switching to ET Streets at the track, and i noticed on my graphed run the the car shifted to low 4300 instead of the 6200 i have programed. My drag tires are 26x11x15. My stock SS tires are 275/40/17. What should i program for tire size to correct my shift times? I also looked at some posts for changing the pressure and time values of the A4. Shift time should be all the way down -25%? and leave the pressure stock? Will this shift hard enough and with the shift time down does that mean it shifts the gear sooner or just quicker. I would think shifting out of 1st too soon you will loose rpm?

275/50/15 is pretty close for your tire/rim size. As for the shift settings, I wouldn't increase the pressure more than 10% for the 1-2 & 2-3 shifts and more than 5% for the 3-4 shift max. Shift times, I would go -15% on the 1-2 & 2-3 shifts and -10% on the 3-4 shift max. Shift MPH/RPM's shouldn't change if you still have stock gear ratios. Stock they should be 37mph/6000rpm, 76mph/6000rpm, and 125mph/5900rpm. Double check the settings and giver 'er a try.

Thanks, you don't think something in the setting caused my car to shift at low rpms?

Not sure...that's why I asked you to double check the shift rpms/mphs.

Ok i will check them, i was at work when i posted earlier. I will look tonight after i get a garage pass. I will verify the tune, and i am installing a thermostat 160 degree and TB bypass. Thanks for the time.

I checked my parameters again tonight. The gears were set wrong. I swore i set them to 3:23 before. Does the computer compensate? I set that and used the parameters you gave me for the shift points. I will try it out tomorrow if it ever stops raining. I don't understand the balance of changing MPH VS RPM on shift points. If i want to raise my shift rpm will i have to also raise my mph to correspond with the rpm? Is there a table to do that? Thankyou for you help.

No. Think of them as enabler checkpoints. Once both checkpoints are passed, a shift will be made. Most people leave the mph alone and work off of the rpms unless they go to a higher gear ratio. This typically means that the mph will be somewhat lower than the true mph for the rpms desired at shift times.

I ran the car on the street today with tune and ran 8.50 in the 1/8th again with my G-tech at 89mph with my stock tires and SS rims. Looks like back to normal now with stock, if it does not rain i will swap my MT'S on and try again. Did you ever tune and it did not take correctly and your speedometer goes max when you step on the gas? It did this twice and i had to reset to factory then reload the Diablo SLP tune. Just scared me because the car died in my driveway until i corrected. Thanks for all of your advice.

Thanks, Yes it seems better.
I took a good measurment of my street tires and THE ET STREETS. The street tires 275/40/17 Measure just 25 inches. The ET STREETS measure a good 27 inches, a full 2 inches of height, that has got to be taking my gear away.
