I just got HPT w/ EIO. Want to download my tune from my PCM into editor so that I can initiate the license and start modifying/tweaking my tune.

I currently have a Predator tune in the car for my cam and longtubes, which I don't believe would cause any issues for finding the VCM.

I updated the EIO flash just fine from my laptop. I keep getting a promt saying "cannot find VCM, verify cable is plugged in and power is set to run on car"

The program recognizes the cable and EIO when I unplug it from the car b/c it says it "cannot locate vehicle power".

So what is happening. Need despirate help here guys.

like the post under yours check the cig fuse as a starter.

I wish it was that easy Fuses are all fine. My predator hand held works perfectly fine. Even the EIO busy light starts to blink. But it cannot find the VCM.

Laptop is a new Dell 9300 w/ the latest USB Ports for the USB HPT.

Does the scanner work? If it does, is your scanner disconnected? If the scanner is still connected, you will not be to flash the VCM until the scanner is disconnected.

restart your computer....sometimes mine does that and that fixes it.
