little bit of turbo car tuning problem
good afternoon. Just started the turbo ss for a bit today...maiden voyage out of the garage....Everything went well.....except for the fact that the car runs like ****!
heres the specs.
2001 camaro ss
Single turbo
96lb hi impedence injectors
218/218 114 cam
i set the injector tables using the calculator that someone offered on this site.
I lowered the minimum injector pulsewidth down to 1.079
i also took away some of the startup enrichment. its down to .038 across the board
The car will do the following. Start up..run rough...occasionally backfire...ocaasionally toss the blinking missfire SES light...wideband guage says 19:1 - full lean (20+:1)at idle. While driving the car..its super down on power...just trying to accelerate out of my driveway itll backfire want to stall out.
I didnt get any logs because my laptop decided to take a nap and not wakeup.
Anyone have some things i can look at? especially with anything i may have overlooked with setting up the injectors. I looked around quite a bit to make i didnt miss anything...i havent touched anything else other than the above mentioned, and boosted the idle up.

its def a fueling issue...i havent changed any other parameters...im wondering if i should bump fuel pressure up a tad and see what its at.

just scanned on HP tuners...cyl 6 has a high missfire count....possibly the cause of the exhaust backfires and shitty running.
the car still runs lean as hell...i used bi directional controls to add some fuel and it seems to be idling 10x better.

i havent really touched any of the spark tables or messed with dwell...its basically a stock 01 m6 file with the injector tables, cold start enrichment, idle, and minimum pulsewidth changed.
im gonna check cyl 6 and see what the deal is....i have a custom set of plug wires in there too.
anything you would suggest to look at ignition wise other than a broken plug, fugged up gap, or bad crimp on teh wire.

Aside from the things you've mentioned it sounds like you've got it pretty much. My only guess as far as the ignition goes would be to try and switch out the #6 plug with a colder stage or something else and see how it works for you, hell it may just be dirty or gapped too large.
Other than that, you're guess is as good as mine bro. Good luck.

thanks...ill keep everyone posted on what happens.
I Built this entire setup...turbo headers..4 inch DP..radiator setup, cold side pipes..everything so its a little frustrating to say the least.

I guess injectors are usually rates at 43.5 PSI, could it be possible they you have 98lb injectors when at 57PSI? if so, this could be where it going lean. Also I have heard that larger injectors take longer to open. For example you have a 48lb injector commanded to open for 0.1ms (just an example) to get the same amount of fuel from a 96lb injector do you command it to open for 0.05ms?, I would say not, if it takes longer to respond. You may want to play with the minimum pulse width table.
