P0405, P0404 and low rpm stumble
I randomly get a ses light which the codes are P0405 and P0404 and off and on I get a low rpm stumble. Only in 5th and 6th gear under 2000 rpm's. It only happens when I am at very low throttle. If I hit the gas it pulls just fine. The car also has had the egr removed for the last 2 years and this is the first problem I have had with it. Any thoughts? Also I have had the codes cleared and they keep coming back.

both are EGR codes (in the future please include what the code descriptions are... I checked because I had the OBDII page open, but it makes it easier to troubleshoot w/the info in 1 window)
Sounds like EGR may be stuck open... I personally have never seen this, but then again I haven't had EGR on the car for as long as I can remember

if it were EGR stuck open that would make sense... getting exhaust mixed in w/the intake and high load ..
There are some troubleshooting steps on that page to determine what the fault is w/the EGR (but basically the actual EGR position and what the PCM wants is too different from eachother, that's what sets the code)
