Does lean cruise work in 2001+ PCM?

Does lean cruise work in 2001+ PCM? Using a popular tuning software I'm able to turn it on, and I put in the proper settings, but it doesn't seem to do anything (e.g., I don't see O2 values stabalize at some low value after x seconds of cruise @ 65mph). Has anyone else got it to work on your FBody? What kind of gas savings did you see?

It needs a little OS hack, GM killed it internally for US
legalities. People have gotten it to work. But support
for this is not much like "off road performance", this
is on-road emissions meddling so your tool vendor
may have certain reservations about supporting such
a hack (or rather, consequences of same).
Of course you could run full time open loop and get it
to do the same thing pretty much, so don't waste
your time trying to make sense of the situation. We're
talking bureacrats and legalities here, after all.
