hope someone can answer this over here i posted over in the transmision section trying to see if i need a tcu for my conversion im doing i dont think i do but maybe someone with the tuning smarts over here would know for sure.. just so u know i plan on running my megashifter thats in the car already that was hooked to the 700r4 i plan on hooking that up to the 4l65e. thats my main question if the pcm that i will be running will run the trans without buying the tcu i am using efilive also.. thanks for any help u can give me here is the thread i started over there

Read your other post, you're doing the conversion in a 3rd gen Firebird right? I'm assuming you are going to use a 99+ PCM since you are planning on using EFILive to tune it. If that is correct, there shouldn't be any problem. Just make sure you have the right trans table in there (a 4L80E tune won't control a 4L60E, but 60/65/70E tunes are all the same).
