Knock retard above 4k??
98 Camaro, G5X4 cam and pace setters only.
Fuel trims are all in order, car seems to run and drive well "except for the occasional knock retard for no reason". Problem is that it consistently pulls 3-5 degree's of knock retard out of it any time you are above the 3.6 cell. WOT runs promote a guaranteed 3-5 degree pull.
Have no idea where to look to even begin to try and correct this.
Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, car was tuned on the dyno by LG.... But does not have a wideband currently.
False knock??
What should the "tip in tps" knock retard settings be close too? They are currently in the 7.0-9.0 range.
That seems low to me, because the same ranges on my pickup are 13.0's across the board.

First thing first. Determine if it is real knock or false knock! Either tickle it with race gas or set the timing over 3600 rpms to a value that should knock. Something like 16 degrees across the boards, which you did! Sounds like its false knock. I would still race gas it and back it up even further.
Like foff stated; 98's are notorious for this.

Well.... If it is in fact, "false knock" which i'm now almost absolutly sure it is..... WTF do yo do about it?
Just ignore it? Kinda bothers me seeing it keep popping up on the histogram.

not 100% sure but I would guess
1 fix what ever is banging and making the knock
2 adjust the false knock on hpt, make it less sensitive
3 make sure your knock sensor is not bad
