I have a question, when I bought my maggie for my 04 GTO it came with a superchips vin locked tune. I have since done my own tuning, is this tuner now worthless? Is there anyway to unlock it and then let someone else make use of it? Is there any way it can be unlocked and used by me as a portable multi tune solution?
I have no further use of the canned maggie tune, and im not trying to sell that tune, just the superchips device itself.

If you returned the car to stock before the custom program then it can be used again on another vehicle.
But if you did not remove it then the product is useless to tune another vehicle.
It can although be used for a DTC reader.

I also have a question, i have a 1998 camaro z28 and it doesn't seem you have a tuner for my car is this true, because i just bought a used vortech supercharger and i need a tune for it, so i called vortech to hear their reccomondations and they said to ask you guys for a tuner but after i called, i was told there is no tuner for the 98 ls1, is this true?

98' LS1 do have a programmer BUT it is for the near stock cars.
We will not make a program for the supercharger anylonger.
Unless you can get Vortec to make a file and you buy a tuner.
I would probably recommend getting a custom program made like LS-1 edit, or HPTuners. It may be easier...

I don't think he understood your question the first time. You are saying that the tuner you got was VIN locked to a different vehicle, not yours, correct?
Most likely, this cannot be cured by restoring the stock tune to your car, it would have to be done to the car it is locked to.

If the Sc programmer was used to return the vehicle to stock before the custom program then it CAN be used again.
A easy way to look into is plug the tuner into that car and if it says VIN LOCKED in the preamble in the first (10sec), then it is locked.
If you do not see the message then you are good to go with selling it.

When I bought my Camaro, it came with one of your programmers. The tune is in the car, but the previous owner lost the cable. I'd like to return the current tune to the programmer before I go with the bigger blower on my car and get it re-tuned. Can I purchase this cable from you for a 99 F-body?
Also, if I put the stock tune back in the car, then re-apply your tune, will it allow me to change the gear ratio from 4.11 to 3.73?

I don't know why you could not with prior authorization from HPTuners (receipt).
Who did you purchase from?
Did they say that there is a back order or what is the reason for the delay?
