Default Would there be any advantage in swapping out stock MAP sensor for a 2 BAR

I have a GM 2 bar map sensor that I was using for my Mallory 685 and I have disconnected because Im not using the timing retard function. Would there be any advantage to swapping out my stock one with the 2 bar? Would it allow me to datalog over the facotry 103 kpa?

The car wouldn't run right. The PCM would think that the you are at about half the map pressure you actually are. I accidentally started my truck up after putting in a 2bar sensor in before I installed the 2bar os awhile back. The truck wouldn't even idle.

You could put the 2 bar map in along with the stock map. T into a vaccum/pressure line. Get a wiring pigtail for it and feed the output into the datalogger if you have that option. PCM still reads the stock map sensor and you log with the the 2bar.

Accuracy is reduced. No point unless you are boosted.

That is only if you install the OS. If you only install the sensor it won't know it is a two bar sensor and read half of what it is supposed to.

ALL of the sensors report 0-5v, but at different pressures. So if the OS thinks its a one bar map, the reading will be way off. The car probably wont even run.

While you guys are on this topic. If you are running the maf like this guy and its not maxed out...

Can you still buy the 2bar map sensor and get 2bar support and still use the maf?

If I decided to use my maf I would like to upgrade because I cant see my wideband or ltfts or several others things past 105kpa....

So since the maf is good well past 105kpa can you use the maf and still have hptuners 2bar to see whats going on in those cells?
