If You could pick the best tuner on this board, who would it be?
Preferably using HP Tuners, who do you guys feel is the best on this board? I would start a poll, but there are too many that I can think of Location doesnt matter, just your honest opinion of who you feel understands each function of the software they are working with and has the best reputation here. You guys are a tough crowd, I know that if they are respected by you, they probably know their stuff
Thanks

Chris from HPT just because of his understand of pcm's & how they function & tuned professionally for a while
Ken from HPT because he's been in the tuning business for a long time & also knows his way
Keith definitly knows his way around the software & having a 10 second bolt on car doesnt hurt the cause
Rick at synergy seems to really know his s**t and has helped out alot of people in the past
Doug(EC_tune) has been tuning forever it seems & too knows his **** & navigates around the programs in's & out's with the best of them
Those would be my top 5 but I could name a dozen more comfortably.
Mind you there are many other tuners that I would feel comfortable with referring for specific apps as well ie 1 bar vs. 2/3 bar since many don't have alot of experience in FI & or nitrous, etc.

Thats a pretty good list Bill.. its a good start..
I agree with you though, a dozen more could easily be added to that list...
Very tough to chose the "best". I think there are more tuners out there than there are parameters in the PCM to edit.

Rick at Synergy does excellent work. I recommend him to most of my Cali Customers.
All of the guys at HPT know their stuff, but it is hard for me to fly them in for some one-on-one tuning help, especially chris
Jim at Speed Inc does good work and I am very impressed with his skill.
I will cut to the chase- Basically, LGM is going to start slowly integrating HP Tuners into their current tuning software. We will still use LS1 edit due to our almost 2000 customer database, but HPT has some nice features that we are going to start using, especially the RTT and 2/3 bar SD.
With 4 almost 5 years learning Edit, learning HPT will be tough. Gaining some outside experience from someone well respected here will be crucial to our understanding of the software and the power of it. Depending on who is the most popular, and willing to make a trip to LG will help us with our decisions and learning the program.
Any and all comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'll second this Louis, I purchased my EFIlive V2 through Jesse, and he has been very helpful. If he spends a weekend working with you, you'll be just as handy with the EFILive as you were with the LS1edit.
You or your dad can feel free to give me a call anytime,

Some of the best tuners hardly post here, but haved tuned countless cars. Here's a list of some I believe truly understand the complete tuning process (idle/cruise/WOT) and really know to tune both street and race cars. IMHO, that's the key to a good tuner. I don't know the names of the tuners for both Speed Inc or Thunder, but after talking to them and seeing their work first hand I was impressed.
1. Don at DEZ Racing (Slowhawk) has been tuning since LS1Edit was introduced.
2. Mike at Rapid Motorsports
3. Speed Inc
4. Thunder Racing

EFiLive workshop. I might also add that he tuned my car before I bought my tuning software , and it ran a 12.46 @111 on a bolt on LS1 n/a.

Don Kinder (Slowhawk) at Mike Dez Racing....near Boston, Ma.....Intelligence, Personality, and Fairness. Sometimes these 3 are tough to find all together in the high performance car tuning and install business. Slowhawk's got all 3. WJ
