I'm looking to get a hand held tuner and was wondering which one is the best overall...... I did a search but couldn't find a solid answer. I will say I'm very interested in the vinci/crane but heard that it has issues with the 98 pcm for some reason. Any help will be greatly appreciated

98's are just finicky with flashing...not horrible, but more likely to run into issues than any other year LS1 basically. There are only a couple of handheld options out there for you...hypertech & crane/vinci are two of the only ones that I know of. FWIW for ~$50 you could have a full tuning suite like HP Tuners for yourself with far more flexability in what you can tune...just something to consider.

Hmm, interesting
What would be good just for temperary tuning? I have more mods coming in the near future & didn't want to go get a tune then have to retune......Putting on ls6 intake, H/C combo, 9" rear in a while.....just wanted somethin to hold me over till then....I need my gear ratio changed, also speed limiters changed & rear 02's deleted.....which handheld can do this???

SCT does support F-Bodys now... links cant be posted since they aren't a sponsor and sell a product that competes with sponsors... however a simple google search will yield more info (hint Search SCT Tuner Camaro FIrebird)
