Default 83% throttle at WOT

Anyone know why my LS2 is only going to 83% max at WOT?? Tq management is all turned off (I think).
Also at .68 g/cyl, my spark advance hits 0* for about 200 rpm from 1400-1600

Is this in the Trailblazer? Have you confirmed the actual travel of the TB?

Check to see if your floor mat is in the way of the gas pedal. I have seen this on a few F-Bodys.

Pull the inlet tract into the throttle body so that you can see the throttle blade. Have someone go in and push the throttle to the floor and make sure the blade is open all of the way and that the throttle body cam is sitting on the stop.

If it is not make sure the floor mat is out of the way and that there is nothing binding the cable or throttle cam. If everything is clear then check the TPS sensor and make sure it on correctly. The computer gets it % reading directly from this sensor, if it is bad it could cause a false reading to the ECM.

83% is normal on fly by wire throttle body. I would have to look into the spark advance.

Depending on which software your using GM decided to change the PID used for throttle position...if your using HP Tuners just log ETC Desired Position % rather than the old Throttle position SAE.

I've seen what you're talking about on auto cars...mainly the Vette's that have the electronic TB. Not sure about the spark advance though...

Here's the skinny that i can see on the advance, BUT he didnt post his file so who knows, but looking at the 06 TBSS file I DO have in the 1200rpm cell that he sees 2* of timing the high octane table is commanding 4* on its own BUT with his IAT temps @93* the stock IAT table would be pulling out ~5* of spark advance so if ANYTHING that 2* of advance he is getting is more then is being COMMANDED with the stock file I have.

Look at the log
Look at the histograms
match it to the corresponding tables

you'll then find your answers

Same deal with mine. You need to look at ETC.. thats the real deal.. Never seen above 84 on TPS.. Usually 83 and then briefly to 84 and back down to 83. However, I have a problem with my trans temps showing up as 32 degrees. Whats with that?

The 83% is normal on the scanning.I've confirmed that they are 100% at that time.Just a PID thing for LS2's.

Ive noticed mine at 80%, and i found the culprit. A plastic block off plate bolted behind the gas pedal, i'll take it off this weekend.

Your kidding right? On ETC cars that is a stop so the peddle doesn't go to far.

Wink

This is a 2001 camaro ss m6. Just put ls6 conversion heads and cam. I noticed 80% on efi live and started to investigate. The throttle does not hit the stop, and i saw the stopper on the pedal. ETC is fly by wire, right? I have an actual cable.

I had a similiar problem. I was getting around 90ish% and my problem ended up being the throttle cable needed to be adjusted. For those that don't know...you can't actually adjust the cable by the plactic connector thing halfway up the cable.
