Default #6 Misfire Help

Hey guys, I have a '98 Z28 and I am having a #6 misfire. The coil, all plugs and wires, and the #6 fuel injector have all been changed, yet it continues to misfire. Can anyone give me some help, I dont know where to go from here.

I guess no one has seen this, but just to add, it smokes like crazy and the service engine soon flashes intermittently, just thought I would add that to see if it would help.

Kind of hard to help when you don't say anything about the car other than 98 Z28.

Have you pulled and looked at the #6 plug again? Guessing the flashing SES is for P0300 - www.gearchatter.com/viewtopic8732.php

okay, it is full bolt ons, ls1 hot cam, I have pulled the #6 plug several times, and it is always wet with fuel, I have changed the plug each time, but it continues to misfire. the car is a little down on power, but not much. I dont know what else you would like to know. I am on a stock program, I am running a 125 shot HSW dry kit. I have never had an issue prior to this, it has to be like a crank sensor or something, but I dont know.

It's not a crank sensor. Run a compression check on that cylinder and check the valve springs for a broken one on that cylinder.

If it's wet that means it doesn't get enough spark to it. Check the spark plug wire, coil. Finally check for continuity for the signal wire for that cylinder from the coil to the PCM.GL

I had to work yesterday, sorry for the delay. I think I would hear a valve spring, for one, and two, how do you break a double valve spring under normal driving conditions? I can see the possible voltage problem, since I had my window switch hooked into that #6 coil wire. It performed the sme way until I unhooked the window switch from there. Then it ran great for like 1000 miles, and then it started doing the same thing. One more thing, The serveice engine light flashes under normal driving conditions (2000 rpm in 6th), but is solid if under acceleration. So I am taking this to be an intermitten misfire. I am having it put on a diagnostic later today, but I don't know if they will be able to identify it. Let me know if this sheds any light.

Id do a leakdown check on that. Possible valve or head damage.
