Occasional bogging...mechanical or tuning?
Guys,
I've got a new 408ci that bogs(no response) every once in awhile when I put my foot into it....could this be more of a mechanical issue (MAF, TB, or IAC problem...).. or should I find a new tuner?...What has been everyone else's remedy for a problem like this?.....

Vince,
no...would the relucter get unsyncronized arbitrarily/randomly? My tuner did a great job and the 408ci ran great initially...then this bogging issue came up....how do you know when to do a crank relearn?

Here's a link to an article I wrote on it. http://www.trifectaperformance.com/t...ankrelearn.htm
Anything that changes the way the crankshaft reports its signal data can trigger "crank relearn" problems (e.g. stroker motors). The won't necessarily trigger the P1336, but can cause engines that rev lazily.
Not saying this is necessarily the issue, but it could be. When I saw you had a stroker, that's the first thing that came to mind.
Depending on what they are using, your PCM tuner should be able to perform a crank relearn procedure for you.

Vince,
Good article, thanks...and interesting enough, my battery has unexpectantly drained twice (down to 1 cranking amp) in the past 3 months...could this dead battery/draining event have led to a CKP/relucter timing issue?
...the bogging i'm experiencing is intermittant ...wouldn't the PCM always compensate for the perceived misfire with delayed timing/fuel? ..making it bog every time?
Just thinking out loud....anyone else experience a similiar problem?
