SES, knock sensor question
SES, knock sensor question Today I got a SES light. I can't remember the code but the discription was "Knock sensor 1, low voltage". I have always had around 1° (or less) knock retard at WOT, I assumed it was normal due to the shaking of the motor at WOT. Now I'm getting around 4° retard (after the light). The light came on under normal driving, cruising around 65mph.
Basically I just want to know if anyone thinks that my knock sensor is dieing. I always run premium gas, Texaco or Exxon.
If not the sensor then what else?
Mods: lid, !FRA, descreened MAF, TB bypass, loudmouth cat-back, ST3500 w/ B&M cooler, Diablo Preditor tuning.

Re: SES, knock sensor question One knock sensor code (either P0327 or P0332) means that you have a faulty knock sensor. You need to change it (better to do both) and perform the GM TSB where you lay silicone around the KS boots, and remove the foam under the intake. If you need to see the actual TSB, it's floating around here somewhere. Try a search.

Re: SES, knock sensor question My front KS died. When I pulled the initake to change it, you could see where the water from washing my engine haad seeped under and corroded it. I got it changed tho. 
Re: SES, knock sensor question That's what I figured a faulty knock sensor. Especially since I did just wash under the hood a few days ago (I have wash under there a few times)
