headers in and its slower?
so i put the headers and the cutout in and it was great, now the check engine light comes on for 1135 and 1155 (i think) something about the swich from rich to lean and it seems slower. i went with my buddys gt and stayed even with him when i used to walk him pretty bad before headers.... time for a tune? how many hp gain could i expect with the sig mods listed? thanks in advance

I went 12.8 befor my tune and 12.7 with my tune. I noticed quite a bit of difference in the tune not just power wise but just regualar drivability. It dosent backfire and spit as much as it did. I never heard of any one running slower though thats wierd. You should deffinatley bennifet from it. My gas milage improved alot to. I went from 180 miles to a tank to 280 miles to a tank. Thats in bumper to bumper traffic and on the highway I still get about 25 mpg.

Not that unusual that it happens. Generally the PCM will need at least a couple complete drive cycles to adapt. The O2 switching codes are usually caused because the O2's are pushed further downstream and don't heat as fast which causes them to switch slower. This problem is common with LT's and is the source of several threads on this board.
Cliff notes: Verify the codes, clear them and drive the car around so you can help the PCM relearn. The performance should return and get better.

ok let me clarify.... they have been on about a month now and the codes (1133 and 1153) just started two days ago. it was great, faster than it was, now my buddys gt which is basically stock ran right with me through a whole gear when i should of waxed him bad.
so you think a tune will fix it? and maybe get the corvette o2's to help compensate for the lt's?

Well maybe your just used to it now and it feels slow again. If it was one gear that dont mean crap. Especially from a roll. From a first gear roll my bro stays right next to me in his gt and im a full second faster then him. He does have a 3.73 though. Take it to the track and see what it runs and take alook at your MPH on your runs. If its real low like 100 MPH with that work done then somthings wrong. Good luck.

I added Lt's, car felt like it had more power, a few days later lost power and could smell gas.. took it to a dyno and my A/F was in 10.1's, brought it up to 12.9's and power and gas mileage returned. Went from 319 to 340 area hp bringing the A/F back to 12.9.
