Default Need some help w/ SD tuning on 402/F1R!!!

I am trying to get my motor tuned. I got the idle down pretty good, but I can't get it to rev up in neutral. I look at my wideband and it sells me that I am running really lean. So I use my HPT in RTT and bump up the VE table. I get to a point that the fuel looks ok, but the motor still stumbles on throttle movements. I have more than enough fuel available (96-lb/hr) and my fuel pressure is a steady 40psi. I REALLY would like to see if someone can let my use their tune to help me atleast get a base line. Or if there are suggestions, I am all ears for that too.

BTW, I did do a MAF tune with the stock LS6 intake with 37# injectors and it went very smooth

You say fuel pressure is "steady at 40 psi" so I'm assuming that means you're not using a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator. What does your Injector flow rate table look like?

Those are big injectors. What brand are they?

40psi according to my digital gauge. I have a boost reference regulator, but I am not using it since there is no boost pressure being shown on my gauge. Also, I dont have the blower connected to the engine yet. I used the injectors.xls file to set up my flow rate. It worked great when I had the 37#. My injector table is attached in ZIP file.

The injectors are Delphi. I bought them the same time I got my Versafueler.

Like I said before, according to my wideband O2, the car goes lean when I try to rev the motor.

OK, I got it running alittle better, now I have a new issue. My gauge reading on the scanners matches what my Autometer is showing, but the Table are off between 25-30kPa. Even the LTFT histogram and chart displays are off by the same amount. Also with WOT @ 6000 the gauge says 185kPa and all the others are saying 100kPa. What has happened?

post your scan & I'll take a look, its probable that you have a custom PID made that is referencing map when it shouldn't be.

1st thing you need to do is follow the help files instructions and delete the MAP SAE pid you still have in your table display. This alone is skewing your readings.

I also see an immature error for ECU Malfunction. Is this bad?

post the new scan showing the same thing.

If you want to try a quick fix, delete your vcm scanner.cfg file. This will reset any custom PID's that might be referencing map when they shouldn't be.

from the way you have your codes setup it doesnt look like your in SD mode. Set the codes to no mil instead of no error reported.

How would that make a difference? And which codes are you referring to? How is this causing my stumble?

If your not in SD mode it will make all the difference since you've applied a custom operating system that rely's on the vehicle being in SD mode. Your maf DTC's are what Im referring to.

OK, so I just change the MAF DTCs to no MIL light, it should work right? Is there anything else? What about the MAF Fail Freq.

your maf fail freq. was fine....i mean in the end all you really need to do is unplug your maf sensor to enter SD, but by setting the errors the way you did it tells the computer "yeah everything is fine even though the maf fail frequency is 0" meaning you won't fall into SD mode. Setting them to no mil is the way to go.
