Issues with knock.
Since I picked it up, its had an EGR code and a knock sensor low voltage code.
Just seafoamed the engine a few weeks (3) back.
What might cause the knock sensor to knock the timing back 4 degrees and set a 'low voltage' SEL Code?
Intake removed, knock modules look like crap. Removing and replacing.
Code P0327 still present.
Replaced both Pre-cat O2 sensors.
-Bank one showing less than nominal.
it goes after R&R.
If EGR is defeated or just not working there will
be excess timing at some part throttle regions,
where the tune counts on the EGR pissing on the
campfire.
Looks like the rust on the sensor may have been the issue.
Any recommendations as to how to properly seal it? I'm thinking a strip of hightemp RTV around the rubber seal on top to help keep moisture out.
MAF is clean, as are intake and throttle body.
The EGR is off, I should have the plates Friday when I run it again. I have a local fellow running HP tuners to account for timing differences.
